I retired from the Navy and went straight into real estate. The skills that carried me through the military, including four years as a Navy recruiter, are the same ones I use every day as a REALTOR®: listening, asking the right questions, following up and doing what you said you'd do.
Through the DoD SkillBridge program, I mentor transitioning service members who want to see what this career really looks like before they take off the uniform.
What is SkillBridge?
DoD SkillBridge lets eligible service members spend up to the last 180 days of service gaining civilian work experience with an approved organization, while continuing to receive military pay and benefits. Participation isn't automatic. It requires eligibility and written approval from your chain of command.

Who it's for
Active-duty service members approaching separation or retirement who are considering a real estate career in Jacksonville, St. Augustine or the greater Northeast Florida area. No real estate experience required.
A note on licensing
SkillBridge mentorship is a learning experience, not a shortcut around licensing. Any activity that requires a Florida real estate license is handled by licensed agents. If you decide to pursue your license, I'll help you map out the steps.
